Having long coveted this specific vineyard, Michael Honig set out to acquire it when he heard that the lease was coming to an end. There's a reason for this obsession: the vineyard is ideal for creating the perfect St Helena Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky and soft, full of black cherry, cassis, and blueberry. Vanilla and sweet, baking spice notes support the fruit, with a hint of dried mint bringing a balancing freshness in the background. This is a seriously powerful wine, with nearly ten years of age its coming into a brilliant drinking window but will also continue to age gracefully in the cellar for another decade at least. We recommend that you decant this wine for a couple of hours for maximum enjoyment.
